Personlization Issue

I have a new user who is having trouble adding the /Balance Account Name/ field to the general journal page. He sees the field in the list on the right side but when he drags it over it is slashed out in red and doesn't allow him to move, add, hide, etc. What's strange is other users with the same permissions already have that field on the same page under their user. I also attempted to personalize the field under customizing the profile (roles) and I'm getting the same issue. I am a super-user. See screenshot. Does anyone have a thought as to what is going on? We are on BC23 in the cloud.

Try to Clear Customisation on the top right and redo the personalisation.

I don't see the reason why you couldn't add it.

You need to drag out from the field list to the page.

When you click the field on the field list, it only preview it.

this is not possible. if user see the field, he should be able to personalize to add the field.

how ever, check if any permission related restriction is causing it, which is unlikely.

another way to test it out is ask other user to create a new profile export it and import it back to the user who has issue

I know it seems impossible but you can see the screenshot. It will not allow him to add that field. I verified that another user with same permissions is having the same issue. It doesn't seem to be a permissions issue since I, being a super-user, can't add the field while customizing the profile. One of you test it out and see if you get the same results.

I have tried clearing the customization but no change. This is baffling to me!

Hi, I tested it and had the same problem as you.

I looked at the standard code and it looks like this variable. This may be the reason.

This could be a bug on variable field. I tried on my side and couldn't get it to work also.

YUN ZHU and TeddyH are correct, it looks like its as bug. It doesn't work on my side either.
