hi i have a problem trying to post from the consumption journal in NAV 2013, appears the message error "Lot number is required for item xxx" even when tracking is defined. problem is noticed when i use more than one lot for the same item.
our parther has tried to find out what´s happening, but no success. i've seen another article about the same issue that mention a hot fix (363503),  ...would be available to NAV 2013?  what can you advice to me?

I imagine you have not lived this error, so in case for, you should test following:

    1. to go released production orders and edit their components.

    2. add an additional material requisition increasing the quantity per unit of item in trouble.

    3. Refresh the order, and verify previewing of the material requisition report, where must appear new quantity required.

    4. go to consumption journal and do the current procedure, error must not appear.

    5. then go back to the released production order, and change as were at the begining the quantity per unit of the item.

    6. next step, you have to return excedent material if applies.

    7. finaly, make the output journal works, then released production order will show the corrrect consumption material in order to change his status.

This solution has worked for us, it allowed the error was appearing in other consumptions desappeared at all.

All thanks to the creativity of fellow worker in warehouse .    Fix were not needed
