Unable to deploy custom SSRS report design to UDE via Unified Package

Hi,

I'm currently testing report deployment in a Unified Developer Environment (UDE).

I created a custom SSRS report by duplicating a standard report, added a new Output Menu Item, and exposed it through a menu extension.

After building the model and deploying it through an Azure DevOps pipeline using a Unified Package, I can see that:

The model is successfully deployed.

Menu extensions and menu items are available in the environment.

Database synchronization is executed successfully during package deployment.

The Output Menu Item is visible and can be executed.

However, when I run the report, F&O returns:

"Unable to find the report design ''"

From the apply-package logs, I can see that the report .rdl file is included in the model and the package is applied successfully. I can also see DB Sync operations being performed during deployment.

What I don't see is any explicit report deployment or report registration step in the apply-package or sync-full logs.

My question is:

When deploying a Unified Package to a UDE environment, is there any additional step required for SSRS reports to become available?

For example

Is there any Runtime Package Setting that must be provided to the Power Platform Deploy Package task?

Is there any report registration/deployment step equivalent to the old DeployAllReportsToSSRS.ps1 process?

Are custom SSRS reports currently fully supported through Unified Package deployments in UDE?

Has anyone successfully deployed a brand-new custom SSRS report to UDE and made it available without any manual deployment step?

Hi

The report should be availble after the deployment. since during the deployment reports will be deployed automatically as part of the deployment activity and we don't have any explicit options to deploy the reports.

Please clear the cache and try in different browser with different session as well.

Thanks for your response.

I tested using:

an incognito browser session

a different browser

cleared browser cache

Unfortunately, the issue still persists.

Additional information that might help:

The Unified Package deployment completes successfully.

The model is deployed correctly.

Database synchronization is executed successfully during deployment.

The menu extension is available in the environment.

The Output Menu Item is available and executable.

F&O is specifically trying to open the custom report SalesInvoiceDSATest2.

However, when executing the report I still get:
Unable to find the report design SalesInvoiceTest

I also tried deploying the report directly from Visual Studio, but deployment fails with:
Failed to obtain app setting from:BIReporting.PersistentVirtualMachineIPAddressSSRS

which seems to indicate that the traditional SSRS deployment mechanism is not available in UDE.

Based on this, it looks like the report metadata (menu extension and menu item) is deployed, but the report design itself is not available in the environment.

Have you successfully tested deployment of a completely new custom SSRS report in UDE?

Is there any way to verify that the report design was actually published during Unified Package deployment?
