Hello,
I am importing records in CRM and assigning contacts to a top level team. A small number of these records have a child custom entity which (the child entity) should be visible only to a different Team, however I am receiving an error that the top level Team does not have prvRead to the child custom entity. I know this error message us exolicit enough but is there any way I can set the ownership and avoid this error because the top level Team deliberately so not have access to the child entity and that cannot be changed,.
Thanks for any help

Hi Partner,
You should let the system administrator or the user who has both complete permissions to contact and custom entity to do the import and assign actions.
If you still want to let the top team or other security roles to do these actions, the error will not be avoid, it is by design.

Leo
Check the cascade rules between the parent and child entity (they may be set to cascade ownership to the child record)
You may end up needing to give the Team user level read access (yellow quadrant) i.e. read access to child records that it already owns (some internal queries require read access to an entity to make a call even if the result of the call will be zero records returned)
Thank you so much, at the minute the relationship is set to Parental - so I should change it to configurable cascading and select re-parent = none? That sounds like it should do just what I need.
