Table including productname

Hello!

I am working on a storagemodel i Power BI built upon tables from D365 directly. The problem I have been facing the latest days is how to find a good source for productname. I have every productnumber.

In the table Inventtable, I only seem to find "namealias", and i EcoResProduct it seems to only be "search name", where non of them are complete.

I have also looked trough tables like inventdim, inventisum and reqitemtable without any luck.

If anyone have a suggestion for me I would be very happy! Then the model would be complete.

I have the same question (0)

Ideally, use data entities rather than tables. Entities exist to make your life easier, without having to deal with all the details of normalized data model of F&O. In this case, simply refer to EcoResProductV2.ProductName.

If you insist on dealing with tables directly, look at what data source the entity uses for this field. You'll see that the value comes from EcoResProductTranslation table filtered by the system language (which is defined in SystemLanguageId table).

Thank you! I will give EcoResProductTranslation a chance.

A bit of the problem is that i dont know excatly how to find the information about which datasource the Entity uses when I am in Finance and Operations online. Do you have some tips for this matter?

Again, thanks for fast and useful answer!

You need Visual Studio for development activites. There you can search for elements, analyze where forms takes some data, find references to fields, look at entity data sources and so on.
