I would like to create a new user and I have a windows account for remote access to the server. Earlier the users were created so I did not have that much problem to login. Now I am trying to create a database login so that I can able to modify the system with the new user. Following that I tried to create a new user for database login but it is asking for password again and tried to register the new user from the superuser ID:

    Hi,

Have you created this user in the SSMS?  If that's the case, you might have provided the password.

    Best Regards,

    MMV

you should create database login first in SQL and then login with your windows id and add the newly created user under Tools-->Security-->Database Logins

then try to login with database user as shown in your screen

Hello Thanks all for the applies. I appreciate it. I am trying to create a database login using a superuser id but it popups with a error message: 'user does not have permission to perform this action'. Does it mean someone or database admin has limited the access to the database and is there any other way to create a new user??

You must have dbowner or sysadmin permissions to create the users.

This error means you do not have the access to create the user. Ask your system admin who has the sysadmin right to provide you the necessary access to SQL.

In this case you need to have sysadmin user access.

Once you create the user, you need to map the user to your NAV database. After doing that you can create this new user in Dynamics NAV and provide necessary access rights.
