Open Canvas app from MOdel driven app

Hi,

I want to open canvas app into different browser window or tab from the model driven app contact record.

Basically the user will go to contact record in model driven app and i want the user to click button. On button click it should open canvas app into another tab.

Also I should be able to pass parameter in URL so that it can open ONLy relevant record.
