Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan IUR for Partners link to our Business Central

Posted on by 121

Hi,

First post here

We currently use a paying version of Business central, linked to dataverse for use of a model driven app

As the CRM part is kind of limited i searching to expand that with D365 Sales.

When I was looking around in the MPN I sam we are entitled form Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan IUR for Partners. I have been browsing the webs for hours now on what that actually entails. Some articles show its has almost all D365 apps from sales, to customer service and field service. Increase Cloud Profitability Using IURs for Microsoft Partners and CSP (work365apps.com)

but docs.microsoft.com states this is only for on prem... old data, old product name maybe? confusing.

as all documentation i found is different i put on my brave cap and redeemed the CE IUR code and assigned it to my self.

The only App the waffle now shows new is the D365 for operations... no sales apps. When opening that I got to lcs.dynamics.com/v2 and invited me to create a new project that I could link with three products...

These seem all pon prem..

So I read some more and ended up in the powar platform admin center where i found the environment where Business central is already synching with (Company Default). Wierd thing is when I click the environment URL I go straight in the mode driven powerapp. no D365 related portal I was expecting. i did see a link to D365 apps in the environment screen in the admin portal for D365 Apps. I opened it up and saw a list op D35 apps that are enabled and I could clik install on them. Are those apps always displayed there or is this because I gave my self the CE license I do not know.

So I installed the Sales Ent app but that failed

So maybe that fails because CE does not give me access to Sales Ent, The model Driven powerapp in the same environment is preventing the app to install ... i am blinded here.
So...
QUESTIONS
1. What D365 cloud apps does this Customer Engafgement Plan IUR for partners offer? please be specific as you can
2. Could i use any of those apps to extend the limited Business Central Sales/CRM functionality?
3. Is the new D365 for Operations the only app I will get?
4. When does the environment URL orgbxxxx.crm4.dynmaics.com open the model driven power app? Do I need to create a new environment for D365 and run the dataverse connector in BC again and point it to that? and will I be able to install any apps from the Customer Engagement Plan?
Any enlightenment would be very much appreciated
