Dexterity Script Debugger error

(0) ShareShare

I'm trying to get into the script debugger on GP 2018 but when I click on the open script icon, I get this error:

Unhandled form exception:
Cannot open window. Script terminated.

EXCEPTION_CLASS_FORM_MISSING
SCRIPT_CMD_OPEN

and clicking on debug gives me this:

'Script Debugger OpenButton_CHG on form Script_Debug_Res'

'Browse of form Script Explorer', "ScriptDebuggerCallBack"

It's been a while since I've had to use the debugger and probably it was likely on GP 2013 or before.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Nothing has changed in the way the script debugger works.

    I assume you are using it in Runtime mode using the ScriptDebugger Dex.ini setting.

    If you just want it for logging, using GP Power Tools allows you to capture upto 5 logs with a single click and does not need the debug menu enabled.

    Make sure you have the ScriptDebuggerProduct=0 or another valid product Id.

    Yes, I wanted to use it runtime.

    My dex.ini setting are:

    ScriptDebugger=TRUE
    ScriptDebuggerProduct=6301

    6301 is my registered ID for my dex l dictionary.

    I'm running on Windows 11 and I'm thinking I', just missing a file or something.  I had it working before but haven't had to use it for a while.

    When you compiled your chunk, did you change from Total Compression to Remove Unused Blocks in your chunking macro?

    #  ClickHit field '(L) Group Box' item 0  # 'Total Compression'

     ClickHit field '(L) Group Box' item 1  # 'Remove Unused Blocks'

    Remember to change this back if the dictionary is for a commercial product.

    If this is for a customer customization, I recommend leaving the source code in the dictionary.

    Regards

    Thanks, that is the issue.  I have a macro that builds my cnk file, looks like I have something wrong in there.  I can open scripts when I look at other custom dictionaries.
