Witholding Tax upon invoicing or payment whichever comes first

I running into a gap in AX.

The system calculates Withholding Tax at payment time only as stated in Technet. But I am having a requirement to post it at invoice or payment whichever comes first.

Any ideas to achieve this? Country specification logic to be enabled? Other suggestions?

    Dear Hichem Chekebkeb,

    This is the standard functionality in AX and the standard accounting principle that the Withholding tax is deducted from vendor balance on payment.

    I have have not seen a country localization in AX for this, you may need to customize if needed.

    1- For reference:  technet.microsoft.com/.../gg213414.aspx;MSPPError=-2147217396

    2- check the below is it works for you:

    dynamicsuser.net/.../withholding-tax-per-invoice-line

    (By setting up the service item with a withholding "item tax code" and leaving the goods item without any withholding tax settings, I then process the PO as per normal (including posting the invoice). When I post the payment, the withholding tax is only calculated against the service line, leaving the goods line without the calculation. This does what I need)
