post budget entries related to next year while having budget control for the current year

Hi Dears,

I've configured the budget control in my company and when anyone tries to create a purchase requisition related to the next year (2022) the system reject it as it is out of the budget cycle,

so I've imported a budget for 2022 but the system rejects posting the budget entry and showing the below error although I've added the next year in the budget cycle time span in the budget control configuration.

A budget check cannot be performed. The fiscal period related to the accounting date is not within an open fiscal calendar period for the budget cycle time span.

so what can I do to post the budget entry?

Hi Pola,

Why is it that people enter already purchase requisitions for next year?

Do you have delivery times of 5+ months or is there any other reason for doing that?

Hi Ludwig,

yes we have a case for that as preparing yearly license for application and so on,

so how can I do that!

Hi Pola,

Can you try disabling and re-enabling the budget control configuration to see if this makes a difference?

If this is not the case, I would try deleting the purchase requisition, ensuring that your budget for 2022 is uploaded and complete and then re-entering the purchase requisition.

The error should then disappear provided that there is sufficient budget available in 2022.

Hello Pola,

When trying to post the budget register entry you need to have the 2022 period open, please validate is this is not the case.

no, I think you didn't get my point because my issue is how to post the budget entries for next year as I'm trying to post it but system rejects that and showing the below error
