Import Sales Orders History

Hi,

I'm struggling with importing / creating Sales Orders which I need be historic. I've tried DMF CSV Import and ODATA approaches but errors keep showing up because the requested shipping date is in the past. What is the standard approach for importing historical (say last 3 years) Sales Orders ?

importing delivery date in past for open SO could be avoided and could use atleast today's date

Have you tried just going to the All Sales Order , main form and adding required columns to the form, and simply download the Non cancelled Orders to Excel?

You can later sort them in excel as per your wish.

Hi Cubbly,

Do you need to have shipping date imported? What are planning to do with these imported sales orders?

I used the custom import process as I needed to format data (financial dimensions etc).

for importing historical sales use data entity Historical external demand

date should be date of sales transactions happened

That will work - thanks. However, to clarify - D365 organizations are unable to import historical sales orders ? Why is that not a major gap ?
