Add a new link as below
Note that under Surface link on form, I chose ESSWorkspace
However, when I go into ESS, I cannot find the link

How should I understand this link? I thought it's just any link, however, it seems like it's a link that is connected to a legal entity.

It is a link from HR(before Talent) to D365 Finance and operation. You can get more information from below doc.
