Hello, I am a new FTE and I am having issues with accessing Dynamics CRM / MSX. I receive an error message saying I need to join a SG although I do not have any information about which one should I request access to. My role is Sales Excellence. Thanks,
I have the same question (0)

This is a public forum, participated and maintained by people external to Microsoft. If you have access issues to a system, please engage your manager or colleagues to follow the appropriate procedure to get access granted.

Thanks Daniel, seems like multiple requests are coming to this forum for MSX and DFM. You might have to share feedback internally with MSIT and DFM supportability team to hide the Help button in apps or amend right links to raise internal requests.

In most organizations, Dynamics CRM / MSX access is controlled through Security Groups in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

The flow usually works like this:

User → Security Group → Environment Access → Security Role → CRM Access

If the user is not added to the required Security Group, the system blocks access.

    Common reasons:
    • New employee account not yet added to required SG
    • Environment security group restriction
    • Missing CRM security role
    • Access request not completed in IT portal

You are right Manish, also a D365 license would be required if not already assigned to Azure group.

However, for this thread the user would need to reach out to internal IT since it’s the end user and can’t perform any of these admin actions.
