Hi Sonia,
Technically it can be done (with sendkeys and a timer) but I would not recommend it. I would think that getting extra storage space would be a lot easier and safer. What size is the database?
Use hotcopy and then run a script which archive copied file.
ExpandIT has a NAV backup scheduler. I have not used it myself but heard it works well.
Might want to address that "space" issue too!
