Additional Login Window

We are testing eConnect and Expense Connect in our Dev environment.  At some point during the testing, we are now being prompted with an additional Login window when we launch GP.  It is a basic window with the fields:  Data Source (drop-down), User ID, and Password.  If you enter your credentials in this window, you will then get the standard GP Login window, where you must login again.  If you try to cancel out of the first login window (the new one), you get the following errors:

An open operation on table "SY_Pathnames' failed because you are not logged in to a valid data source.

Unhandled script execution:

Illega address for field 'Company ID' in script 'SQL_GetDbName'.

Script terminated.

I have uninstalled the new products in Dev, but the problem persists.  I have re-created the ODBC connections too.  It is very similar to an error reported for PDK (KB2870546), but we are not using PDK.  Has anyone come across this issue and know how to get rid of the extra login window?

    Hi Vicky,

By 'Expense Connect' what do you mean ? is that a 3rd party application ?

In any case you need to make sure your ODBC connection is working properly, before trying to use it from any GP-related application. It seems from your error message that you lack permissions to access the GP DYNAMICS database to read out the SY01500 company table...

When you setup a local GP client, the ODBC connection usually gets created with the 'sa' user, thus not causing any 'rights' issues when trying to access the tables.

I don't know exactly what steps are involved in your login process, but to me it seems it not getting full rights to read out the table.
