Had setup the intercompany accounts with bridge accounts and ICO journal. Now, I am receiving the error "Account number for transaction type Intercompany accounting does not exist". Can anyone help with this error, please?

    Hi,

What kind of transaction did you record? (GL IC-Journal, IC-Purchase/Sales order)?

Can you check that intercompany accounts are setup in both of your companies involved in the intercompany transaction in the respective GL accounting section?

Thank you, Ludwig. I thought the issue was solved by selecting the 'ICO' profile that is setup in Intercompany accounting. Unfortunately, it is not working. The transaction that i am trying to record is GL IC-Journal. I appreciate your help.

    Hi Rajinikanth Jayaseelan,

Sorry, got your last response wrong.

To (hopefully) get this fixed check the following

    * GL-setup-posting-intercompany accounting: Ensure that the intercompany debit and credit accounts are Setup in both companies.

    * If this does not fix the issue check GL-setup-postings-accounts for automatic Transactions and see if the setup of the intercompany accounting posting type resolves the issue.

If also this one does not work, then it would be great if you could sent some screenshots of your journal.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Rajinikanth Jayaseelan,

I had a look at the AX messages but could not find one with the text shown in the error log.

Can this error be triggered by a system adjustment that has been implemented?

Irrespective of that, I would suggest that you try to debug the issue with a developer. This seems the only feasible option to get this fixed within a reasonable amount of time.

Would be great if you could keep us updated here.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

Finally, the issue is resolved. The problem was that my account structure did not include the accounts that are configured for Inter company. That's the reason it could not find the accounts while posting, although they were in the chart of accounts. I modified the account structure to include the inter company account and it worked like a charm.

Thank you very much for sharing that.

    Hi

we are also looking for IC transactions. It is working perfectly for all entities with shared CoA. How about one another entity with a different chart of accounts? We get an error with account structure. Is there a way around?

    Thanks
