Dynamics GP Batch ID Already Exists

When we open a batch in the GL Batch Entry, with comment - Check links batch Comment - it shows Journal Entries = 1 and associated dollar value.  When we then click on the Transaction button -

we get a message

pastedimage1655443257842v3.png

and then the screen displays

pastedimage1655443314126v4.png

and then if we click on the Batch ID select - it shows that former batch id to a status of 'busy'

Have tried check links and reconcile batch information.

No change.

In the test company - we deleted these transactions that had zero transactions - but that had no effect on the batches that show transaction values.

Assistance?

Thinking about this, I would check both the GL10001 and GL10002 tables. If you have no pending ledger batches these two tables should be empty. Perhaps check links is finding orphaned detail lines which will not have a batch ID only a JRNENTRY.

I would also look in GL10002.

Try looking at the GL10000 table. Do you see any records with this batch ID? If you do delete it. Check links is finding record(s) with this batch ID. You can do the same with the SY00500 table. After deleting run check links again. If that fails search the entire database in all tables for that batch ID.
