When Tracking an email from Outlook to Dynamics, can I add a field on the Track to Dynamics 365 pane (Exhibit 1) to identify the type of activity in the email? Because of limited licenses, my D365 Users write activity reports, i.e., "Call Reports". "Conference Notes", "Executive Meetings", etc. in Outlook for internal email distribution. They then track the email from Outlook to Dynamics. I understand the proper way to address this is to create the Activity in Dynamics and then email it from Dynamics to a distribution list, but this only sends a link to the item in Dynamics, not the full detail. The SKU of the product we were sold does not allow our TEAMS Users to Read Only access as we originally expected. To avoid having to reenter or "copy and paste" the detail, my D365 CRM users write up their activity reports in Outlook and then track to Dynamics as described above. I have a required field labelled TYPE in my Dynamics Activities, including Emails and Tasks to identify if the activity report is a "Call Report', Conference Notes", "Executive Meeting", etc. BUT this field is not available during the Track to Dynamics process and is blank once the email is in Dynamics (Exhibit 2) . I have created Flows to reopen the emails, fill in the required TYPE field and then mark the email Completed (Exhibit 3). As you can guess, this is a very labor-intensive process, even with some automated flow. That is why I ask if it is possible to add a field (in this case - TYPE) to the Track to Dynamics 365 pane? Thank you!
