Preparing Requisition on behalf of someone else, have set permissions but can't raise PR (AX2012 R3)

Hi all,

Have found the policy that grant permission to me to prepare purchase requisition for other named people.  However when I'm in the EP, how do I tell it I am ordering on behalf of someone else, I can't see anything that I can change? I can't edit the 'requestor' field that is shown as me by default to anyone else.

thanks

AXF

    Hi AXfinance,

If you open the purchase requisition form in the EP, create a new one and then select 'add items' you should be able to select another employee for which you have the rights to purchase as specified in the purchase requisition form in the AX Client. The selection is a bit later / different from what you are used to in the AX client but it should work.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

ok thanks Ludwig I can see it now, I didn't expect it to be on every line, that's a bit of a pain where you have lots of lines to do.  HAve you come across any way around this? I presume it would take some development to get that on the header so all lines default to your selection.

    thanks

    Hi AXfinance,

I have only a very limited amount of customers who use the purch req. form through the enterprise portal but would say that you need to make the data entrance a bit more user friendly here if you cannot go through the AX client directly.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

yes nobody likes using that process here, not user friendly at all.  Is it not a licencing issue to give access to AX client for hundreds of users? I think that's the original reason we have it this way.  Or maybe just ease of access as we have 400+ (timesheet) users
