Hello,

I created a project quotation and I want to confirm it. But when i select On the Action Pane, the Generate group i find the Confirm button disabled

is there a setting I forgot?

Have you check whether it is due to the Review project quotations workflow? If you open the Project Quotation form and there is a yellow strip under the with a submit button, then there's an active workflow.

You can check the workflow setting at Project module -> Setup -> Project management and accounting workflows.

Hi,

It looks like without workflow, I cannot generate and confirm the quotation - AX 2012. Appreciate if you can please confirm that workflow is mandatory? If it's not then kindly share other information, I maybe missing some set up in order to confirm the quotation without workflow enabled.

I changed the status of the Project Quotation to 'Approved' from back-end(AOT) and then the Generate Quotation button got enabled.

I did not used WF approval, you can process and approve the Project Quote via WF and then see the output.

its must by Microsoft .

If you have Project3 (project III) configuration key enabled, its must to go through workflow. otherwise you cannot proceed with quotation

you can disable this condition using very small customization

if you don't want to use workflow you have two options only

1) disable project3 key

or

2) change code and customize it to break the standard of Microsoft.

Otherwise you have to use workflow with project3 key enabled.

for sure you would not like #1, because that is your ultimate purpose so ask your developer to do follwing

go to SalesQuotationTableType (Class) and then go to mayQuotationBeUpdated (method). Simply remove whole if condition and whatever is inside if

or create workflow configuration and go via approval process, you may put auto approve to save time
