Segmentation on topic

We are in the process of going live with Customer insights - journey, and are going to import contacts and contact point consent.

We want to send an /thanks for signing up to our newsletter/ email to all new contacts and imported contacts that updates their consent on topic Newsletter to opted in after going live date.
Does anyone know have an idea on how we can make sure that we only send this email to those contacts that opts in to topic Newsletter after we go live?

We thought that we can make the segment on the topic Newsletter, and also a suppression segment based on Created on dated on contact, but then we will miss imported contacts that opts in after we go live.
Thank you!

    Hi,

When creating a segment-based journey, you can select A one-time journey where newly added members can start at any time type of journey.
This type of journey will run again for new members if they are added to the segment after it goes live.

Thanks Dengliang Li, but this do not quite solve the problem. This is the option that we are planning to use, but it will include all the current (imported) contacts from the start, and then they will recive the email also.

We are playing with the idea to have them included and add another email to the journey at first and then change the email after. In that way the imported contacts gets one email and the rest that signs up after going live will get the correct one. In that way the imported contacts will be included and has finished the journey even if they are included in the segment.

Any other toughts on how this can be solved?

Can't you have the segment be based on created date = today (or yesterday depending on how long after they subscribe/update their consent topics) + Compliance Profile / Topic Name = Will Send "Newsletter topic"?

That way you are only getting the newly created people as long as you don't publish this journey until after you have done you initial import and it will only focus on the once from that point forward.

That was my original though, to have a suppression segment that exclued all the contacts that was created before going live date. But then I would also exclude contacts that maybe change their option later on...
