I need to use a new tracking dimension (I can't use neither batch number or serial number), I would like to know if I can use GDT number, because I don't know the functionality related to this dimension (and I don't want to use it). 

This new dimension should allow me to work with InventSum or InventTrans without making complex queries or other stuff.

    Hi Mariano,

    This GTD feature is related to Russian localization. It represents a Customs Declaration Number. As the fields and related tables are marked with a country/region for Russia, I think the functionality would only work correct in Russian companies. As the setup of Tracking Dimension groups is a global setup table, the option is visible here.

    So I don't think you can use this GTD number.

    What is the reason you can't use the batch or serial number?

    Because my customer already uses batch and serial number. I want to use a new dimension just to group batch numbers, let me explain, I buy hams, and I process those hams in different production orders (to produce a spanish ham is not easy, belive me), each production order creates a new batch number (which is correct, and I want Dynamics  to do it), but all those batch numbers must be grouped under the original batch number, of course, I can create a new field in the batch table, but if I use an inventory dimension, I can look at the available form and group all those batch numbers without doing any modification in the standard
