Hi,

I want use a checklists for our onboarding. I have a task that goes to our Office Management team to inform them that a new employee is coming.

However, they can only see that person's name. Is it possible to add extra information customized to that new hire? For example, i want our Office Assistant to see the department, the name and the start date and for example the type of employee (fulltime/parttime).

I hope you can help me.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Stefanie,

You can use the field Task Link creatively to meet most of your requirements. Choose the correct Task Link type to route the task assignee to external webpage or to a page in D365 to either complete the task, or to provide additional information.

Note: Make sure that the assignee has access to the specified page/ form/ workspace in D365.

I created 2 tasks in a checklist and chose 2 different Task link types, based on which the task assignee can visit 2 different forms of D365

Clicking on Worker task link takes me to below form-

I hope it helps! Good luck :)

    Hi Stefanie,

We used the task link, to link the personnel management, employee menu item where they can access the new hire's employee record. It isn't ideal because the Office Manager in your case would have to do some clicking to find the information and you would have to provide them with some level of security access to view employee information, but it works. We were not able to add custom fields for the worker record to the task view itself.

Otherwise, if you have someone on your team that is good with the power automate, they could potentially have custom fields added to the task page and populate with information from the worker record.
