.NET Webservice that returns a DataSet or Custom object

Hello everyone and thanks for reading,

I'm new to Dynamics AX, and I am currently working with version 4.0.

I've been playing around with AX and I was able to consume a .NET webservice from X++ code.

What I want to do now is to consume a webmethod that returns a custom data type. In detail, I've trying without success to consume a Webmethod that returns a DataSet. Is there anyway to do this? Or do I have to always use the standard data types?

I hope I was able to explain myself correctly.

Best regards, and thank you in advance for any help.

Daniel
