Error when Saving or Posting a general journal in 10.0.16

When attempting to save or post a General journal (Daily journal only, this does not occur with any other journal type) in 10.0.16, we receive this error.  Ignoring the error and saving or posting the journal again proves successful.  We've been troubleshooting this for a few weeks and have an open Microsoft ticket on it.  We can reproduce the error in every v16 environment we have, but not in a lower environment.  We've removed all ISV products and tested and the error still occurs.  Has anyone else seen this?  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Frank,

    I had a similar case in the past where everything worked fine in T1 machines but not in T2 machines.

    It took very long to get that fixed because one party said that it is a bug while the other could not replicate it.

    At the end of the day, MS noticed that it was a bug that applies in T2 machines only.

    It sounds as you have a similar issue and I would recommend continuing with your support ticket and trying to get it escalated.

    Hi Frank,

    Unfortunately, I'm also not able to reproduce it. Probably there are some other forum members having access to T2 and higher machines who can confirm your issue. Otherwise you have to rely on Microsoft Support to follow up on this.

    Thanks Ludwig.  Yes, it occurs on T2 and higher machines only.  T1 machines work as expected.

    Hello Frank,

    Is that a tier-2 or even a 'higher' machine that you operate here?

    I have not seen it on tier-1 machine that I use for testing but those machines sometimes behave a bit different.

    Would try to escalate this issue especially if you can replicate it on multiple environments.

    Thanks Gunjan.  We've checked the number sequence and that's not the root cause.  Not really looking for troubleshooting help - I need to know if any other users have experienced this in 10.0.16 because MSFT says they can't reproduce the error, even with a copy of our database.

    Hi Frank,

    Is "Gene_43" the number sequence code for the vouchers of general journal (daily)? If so, could you please check if the voucher number generated is according to your number sequence setup?
