Page Templates - Rewrite URL is required now?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi All,

Sorry, I'm quite new, but has anyone experience this?

As I remember, this field Rewrite URL is not required when you chose Web Template type when creating a page template.

Can someone help me? Thank you!

Have you made sure that no one added any un-managed customization on this form? Go check this form in system customization, make sure all the business rules (if any) are enabled.

    Hi Leo,

Thanks for checking on your end.

I found the problem now. For some reason, the "Business Rules" for this entity has been deactivated. I'm still not sure why it became deactivated, but activating makes the form normal again.

    Hi partner,

I tried in my instance(9.1.0000.7233 online)  and it was true that if I did not select type "redirect"  the "rewrite url" is not required.

So you could have a check that if there is any custom js code or business rules affect the form function.

You could also clear your cache and cookies of you browser or switch another browser and try again.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,
    Leo
