Custom feild creation in HR - personnel management - Education

Dear All,

I have created a custom field in an entity - HcmPersonEducationEntity. this is created via personnel management while entering the education details for an employee.

But the same needs to be visible in the ESS of that particular employee under the education tab. But do not see the entity HcmPersonEducationEntity to add the same custom field. how to connect the HCM

or i need an entity that is common for education in both personnel management and ESS.

Hi Mukharjee,

A custom field is initially created on the table used on a form. Then thereafter you have the option to enable it also for data entities. Can you show the settings from the Custom fields form? Probably also a screenshot form the standard form where you have added the custom field.

Please find the details as requested.

The custom field “Degree Classification” is created using the “personalization” – Add field – entity name ( HCMpersoneducation/education competency).

The education screen navigation is “ Personnel Management –> employee –> education.

The above screen navigation is ESS –> additional information –> education -> edit

I am able to get the values of all the fields maintained by HR in the “ Personnel Management –> employee –> education.” But I am not able to find the custom field added on this screen.

I want the custom is a field added via personnel management to be visible to the employee via ESS screen.

Hi Mukharjee,

I have tried to reproduce it and I'm able to reproduce your issue. The cause is the use of another physical table (EssPersonEducation). For that reason, it is not visible. You can add the same field here, but that is not synced with the HcmPersonEducation table.
