We are in the business of providing IT infrastructure solutions to clients.
Currently, we are using AX 2012 R3 - CU8
we are facing an issue with the serialized items. when item X is located on two different locations (Location A and Location B). suppose location A has 2 quantities in stock and location B has 2 quantities.
and we received a sales order for quantities 3. The picking list will pick 2 pieces from location A and 1 from location B.
The next step is to complete the picking list registration. As per our business process, we have to add serial numbers to the items while completing the picking list registration.
after adding the serial number it shows only one location for all quantities,
Here are some steps to make the issue clear.
Create sales order --> confirm the order --> Generate picking list
As per the picking list, I have to pick items from 2 locations.
now go to picking list registration form
locations and picked quantities from the respective locations are showing correctly.
we have to register the serial number on this screen.
You see in the above screen,
As soon as I entered the serial number the location gets changed. initially, it was showing AG001 - 2 quantities / BG002 - 1 quantity
Now both lines are showing AG001. That means after entering the serial number it switching to only one location. And now that switched location has only 1 quantity in stock so I can enter only one serial number and after that, the system will throw an error of "Insufficient quantities". Likewise, I will not be able to complete the picking list registration.
