Willoware has a product called MFG PowerPack which includes Scrap Reporting a module for tracking, reporting, and costing scrap.  It integrates with GP Manufacturing Component Transactions to adjust the cost of scrap from Manufacturing WIP and into dedicate Scrap GL accounts.

Dan is correct.  Those would be your options to handle the scrap in your scenario Jeganeedhi.

Your options then are to short receive it at 8 and let the WIP flow through as a variance, or to receive 2 to a 'scrap' site, then do an IV adj to write it off to a scrap account.  The latter will not show any reporting, although you could do a trx report and all write-offs would show on the report.

    Hi Frank,

Thank you for your response. Here is my scenario.

MO Starting Qty 10 . In QA process , 2 qty are rejected .It moves to scrap site

So now 8 qty moved to finished goods site. Where can I enter these 2 qty in manufacturing?

Raw materials are  used for this scrap. If I close the MO, it will clear the WIP. How can I track the scap items? Will it adjust cost to invendory finish good?

I saw the Scap entry transaction option in component Transaction Entry window..But After Scrap entry also i able to receive the 10 qty in MO recipts.

If you give the standard proceure for Scarp entry then that is more help ful.

    Thanks

Jeganeedhi, there are a couple of ways to account for scrap.  You can enter a scrap allowance in the Bill of Material (Shrink %) that will automatically account for a standard scrap value or you can account for scrap at the close of the Manufacturing Order, based on material issued to the MO compared the BOM quantity.  Any overage could be treated as scrap, depending on the account distributions setup.
