Creation of new Number sequences+Data Management

Dear All,

I need to create new Number sequences for special Jornals, it is possible to doit by Data management entities? I have tried with no success, any help and guidance will be really appreciated.

Its possible to create number sequences for journal using entities . Which entity you are trying to use ? Did you try auto generate check box on mapping ? If you are using custom entity , you can take a look at standard examples as well to see how it is done. Take a look at entity LedgerJournalEntity method postGetStagingData

Can you tell about your attempts and if you got errors or not? What exactly do you mean with special journals?

Sure,

for example, I have created separeated collection journals for local dns foreing customers, also in payments and Invoice jouurnals, so I need to create number sequences for vouhers of those journals.

I have tried to import with the data entity Number sequence code V2, but when importing I got this error message:

"Results. The annotated format does not contain a valid annotated markup of the format.

Results. validateWrite failed on data source 'NumberSequenceTable (NumberSequenceTable)'"

any idea?

Hi Dolly,

NumberSequenceCodeV2 will insert data into the Number sequence table, which has records all the number sequences, their format etc. I don't think you are trying to setup new number sequence codes.

If you are looking to create a customer payment journal for an example, try use CustomerPaymentJournalHeaderEntity (for journal header) and CustomerPaymentJournalLineEntity (for journal lines).

Can you try instructions specified on the link below to build annotated format column in your spreadsheet of number sequences and see if it helps in your scenario
