Form Submisson behavior vs. form page

Hi there,

I am a bit confused about the form submission behaviors and the "submission action" of the form page.

When does the system use these information at a form submission in summary at a form?

I have hosted the form on an external website.

So I figured out that the system uses all the information of the form page because the scripted in linked with that external website.

But whats the different then to the submission form in summary of the forms?

- They don't get copied when I first set all in in the information and the set the form on live and create a new form page

- They don't get used when I click on "enable double-opt-in

- They don't get used when pastedimage1603443894925v3.png is clicked on "Open the web page after confirmation."

What do I miss here? xD

Best Regards
Joannis

    Hi Joannis,

    From documentation:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/marketing-forms#settings-on-the-summary-tab

Submission behavior on the Summary tab establish the default settings for when we place the form in a marketing page using a form element, though we can override these by editing the form element properties. They also establish the behavior for when the form is embedded on an external website.

From my test, they only get copied when we place the form in a marketing page using a form element. If with form hosting option, they won't get copied and submission behavior will always be overwritten by our own settings.

(In quick create form of Form page, it seems that Confirmation message and Error message fields will always be populated with default "Thank you for your submission." and "An error occurred during your submission.", but we can run custom javascript function on the quick create form to set them to custom value.)

    Regards,

    Clofly
