Do I need Dynamics 365 portals or a Power Apps portal?

Hello, reading through the D365 marketing documentation and stumbled upon https://docs.microsoft.com/nl-nl/learn/modules/get-started-set-up-and-manage/3-purchase.

Do I need D365 portals of power apps to get below working in D365 Marketing?

  • Landing pages, which provide forms that contacts can use to register for mailing lists, free downloads, webinars, or other perks.

  • Subscription centers, which enable contacts to manage their mailing list subscriptions and personal information.

  • Forwarding pages, which enable contacts to forward marketing emails they've received from you (while preserving accurate tracking info).

  • Event websites,

It says:"Each feature requires one or more webpages that are publicly available on the internet. Each page must be able to retrieve information from Dynamics 365 Marketing and be able send data back to it.

There are two ways to accomplish this: Dynamics 365 portals or a Power Apps portal or own website or CMS system"

It's a bit unclear. Would be strange if you would need a portal for landing pages, subscription center or forwarding pages. All other MA systems have this included (think Eloqua, marketo, hubspot, act-on).

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

My team actually has been working in this area and after meeting with Microsoft, there are 2 options:

    1. Power Apps Portal(Preferred)

    2. A portal that is not part of Microsoft.

When we tested it, you truly need landing portals and there is a need to use your own portal. We are still researching and testing this to see how we can accomplish.

Now, we would like to use power apps portal, but the problem here is that there will be a cost for consumption and this truly creates an issue. MSFT is not being very clear of that cost..

Dynamics 365 Marketing does not provide web page hosting services, you can bring your own or leverage our Portal add-on options with Dynamics 365 portals or Power Apps portals.

Run Dynamics 365 Marketing with a Power Apps portal and/or CMS system (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs

    Pricing - Power Apps (microsoft.com)
