Wanted to get a hang of the below -
- We have Dynamics 365 on-premise in place.
- We have a few mailboxes in Exchange on-premise
- We also have a few mailboxes on Exchange Online.
Now, Server-side sync was working well with Mailboxes on on-premise itself. However, when some mailboxes were moved online, the server-side synchronization test doesn't complete and hence, the Sync is unsuccessful.
Now, we've been directed by Microsoft support to do this (Server based Authentication) in order for hybrid scenario to work - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/admin/connect-dynamics-365-on-premises-exchange-online#configure-server-based-authentication
Question -
- Can we have the Dynamics CRM connect to Exchange Online's mailboxes and Exchange on-premise mailboxes synchronization running in parallel?
- Is this based on having different Server Profiles in Dynamics CRM pointing to each one of these?
Also, any supporting article/documentation on this would really help.
