Hi,
I want to know how to modify the String Size from 60 to 100 in the EDT AccountName, it has a property that says String Size is Extensible as Auto so I imagine there must be a way to edit it:Thanks in advance.
Hi Daniel, You have to extend the EDT by right clicking on this EDT and click on 'Create Extension'. Then you can change string size in the extended EDT.
Also check this out for reference

Hi Mohit, from the AOT I have grayed out the option Create Extension. I just have the option Create Extension In New Project. And even when I try to edit it, it just won't let me do it.
You need to create new project and select your model or open an existing project then Create Extension option will be visible.
Do you have any customizations in your solution? If yes, then you will have custom model (you can check this from your projects as shown below)
If its standard solution yet and no customizations are done then you have to first create model

Also ensure that your model has reference to Application Platform

Yes, I do have the extension in a new project with a custom model, but it won't let me edit it regardless. And also this custom model does have the ApplicationPlatform model as a referenced package. But still I can't change it.
String size is extensible property is said to auto, so I think you cannot change the string size through extension.
You need to create new edt - set the string size and map that edt to table field.
Thanks,
Girish S.
You can not Edit properties from project, Right click on the Edt Extesion in Project (in your screenshot) and click on Open. Then right click on the Edt and click on properties. (You can edit properties only from Designer window)
As shared before, I have changed String size of this EDT to 100
I am wrong here if string size is extensible property is said to No then only it cannot be changed through extension.
I think you need to open the AccountNamd using open designer and then change the string size.
Update the model parameters with this system model. And create extension in present project and change the size.
Thank you so much Mohit, yes I was trying to edit that way but I had a visual bug where I closed down the designer clicked on my edt and saw 60 string size. I had to close the whole visual studio and open it to see it as 100.
