Can we do all the things in Java script without using plugin?
I think you can not do all the things in Javascript. There are something only run in the backend, like data import, actions for integration. As far as I know, you can not deal with these backend jobs via Javascript, no SDK support node.js i think. Besides, you should use frontend and backend together for best practice.
