Printing overlaps on certain pages

ReportReport
Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have a very strange issue, we have a report that will print fine a couple of times and then on the third print it will look like the screen shot below.  It appears that the bottom half of the page is printing over the top half, but next page is just fine

  • I did create new report options and tried printing twice and 3rd time it showed like below.
  • It is not a custom report.
  • I recreated the Report Dictionary
  • pastedimage1581431772409v1.jpeg
  • It appears this way on the screen when printing to screen as well, always page 4 of the report
  • It prints this way with multiple default printers
  • I changed the sort option of the report and again printed fine first 2-3 times and then prints doubled up
  • It is very reproducible on this database
  • Version 18.0
  • It is also happening on the Aged Trail Balance with Options report sporadically as well

Any assistance is appreciated.

RE: Printing overlaps on certain pages

    Hello-

I would next try to re-synchronize the Dynamics Dictionary.

1.In Notepad, open the Dex.ini file.

Notes•By default, in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is located in the following folder:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\Data

2.In the open file, change the Synchronize value to TRUE as follows.

    Synchronize=TRUE

3.On the File menu, click Save.

4.On the File menu, click Exit.

5.In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics, point to GP 2010, and then click GP Utilities.

6.Log on to Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities  as the sa user.

7.After the synchronization process is complete, click Launch Microsoft Dynamics GP and verify if the issue persists.

I hope this information is helpful.  Have a great day!
