Automated testing workflows - Anyone?

Our testing process on our CRM workflows is all manual and we want to be able to automate the testing process.  We have some ideas but we thought we would reach out to the community to see if anyone has done something similar.  Thanks.

    you can automate some steps, but I don't know which kind of automation you are looking.

    For example:  you have a workflow that run on an contact and fill some fields from the parent account.

    What you can do (as automated testing) is to launch by C# the workflow on a selected record (or for full testing you should create the necessary records prior the execution) the testing app wait that is finished and after check the results (the assert part). (and if you created the test records delete them)

    Hi, it is great to know that you are planning to move your testing workflow towards automated software testing solutions. Howevr, you haven't mentioned specifically about what kind of automation you are looking for. Aside, you also need to prioritize the processes which you want to automate. For instance, processes which are time taking or redundant for automation should be prioritized first.
