Impact on the RSO historical traffic option

Good afternoon, 

 

As an organization, we recently received the following email from Microsoft Bing.: 

Could you please clarify if the discontinuation of services extends to the historical traffic information feature within RSO predictive travel functionality?

    Hi,
     
    The Distance Matrix API can be used to calculate travel time and distance.
    However, the Microsoft documentation does not explicitly state that the Bing Maps with historical traffic feature uses the Distance Matrix API.

    It is recommended that you raise a support ticket to consult the product group.

    Certainly! When using Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO) in Dynamics 365 Field Service with the Bing Maps option that incorporates historical traffic data, the Distance Matrix API is indeed involved.
