Change warehouse for open production orders

We are trying to implement a 2BIN system in DAX2009. Therefor some items now have the warehouse 2BIN, instead of the general warehouse before. For new production orders, everything is well and the 2bin warehouse is used. But for production orders that are already created, the warehouse is still the old general one. Is it possible to change this or must we wait until these orders are finished and we have some kind of overlap period?

I also posted this question on DynamicsUsers but no replies however ;(

    Hi,

A bit hard to answer without knowing some setup and other details. When the production order is started, you can still change the Warehouse field on the production order. When you report the goods as finished it is also possible to change the warehouse.

So possibly there is a way to change the production orders in upfront.

Please first do some tests in a separate test environment before applying it in your live system.

I am sorry. All production orders are 'planned'.

The problem is, we changed te warehouse for the items in the BOM. So, the subject of this problem are the items used for production, not the end product.

Now we edit the BOM in all planned orders which is a lot of work and possibly not the solution.

    Hi Henk,

Thanks for the additional information. It was not clear in your question was related to the BOM lines and not the end product.

If you are now talking about orders are 'planned'. Are you referring to 'Planned production orders' or to the production orders with a status 'scheduled'?

I suggest you should wait until old orders are reported as finished, it is good that you have overlap period.

all our production orders are manually entered, so we speak about orders with the status 'scheduled'. The problem is, these orders are made up to 2015, so the overlap period would be too laog, and we have too many corrections to make becasue of the wrong stock in the wrong warehouse.
