Hi all,

I want to spilt the lines for a record based on a condition:

If I have a Product and the product type is Phantom, then split the Product into its sub-product.

For example if I run a report for a coffee:

Product Product Type Unit Qty
Milk Item l 7
Sugar Item g 5
Coco Phantom kg 3
Water Phantom l 6
Coffee grinds Item kg 4

I want to show my Report as:

Product Product Type Unit Qty
Milk Item l 7
Sugar Item g 5
Coco Phantom kg 3
Dark coco Item kg 1.5
Regular coco Item kg 1.5
Water Phantom l 6
Hard water item l 2
Soft water Item l 3
Clean water Item l 1
Coffee grinds Item kg 4

I am not sure what expression should I use to show the above highlighted red text. Something like if the previous Product has a Product type like Phantom then split that Product into its sub-product.

How can I write the expression for the same?

What do you mean split? How are these records related to each other in scope of the report(I mean phantom type product record and then the item type) and What are the datasets in your report? Give a little more information please.

    Zain,

    I am using BOM table.

    Product = BOM.Itemid

    Product Type = BOM.Type

So If I pick any item number 34566 i.e. Coffee

The report shows the BOM.ItemID for the Coffee and if the BOM.Type is Phantom then spilt that particular BOm.ItemId into its own BOM lines.
