How to edit quantity being returned?

Hello all,

Have the following problem:

SO return could be done multiple times till all the quantity will be returned.  When we create a return order from existing SO, AX assumes we are returning all the qty from salesline.

One of the way(after making some fields 'editable') is creating additional sales line by hand entering qty, unit price, return cost price, then allocating qty's (ensuring returning item qty sum is still the same). Then in arrival overview form, we just dont include one of the item lines when selecting lines for arrival.

Any way to make a partial return using current functionality/using different steps?

Create return order and register qty as per your partial return and then make packing slip and invoice.

Prashant, thanks for your reply, however creating return order through "all sales orders" form is not allowed (cant really tell why it was done like this).

    Hi MinJan,

Not sure exactly how you are creating the return orders, but the recommended way is to use the Return orders list page in the Sales and marketing module to create a new Return order, and the 'Find sales order' button which you'll find here:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh803010.aspx

If you use the 'Find sales order' form, you can edit the 'Quantity to return' field before you add the line to the return order.
