Hi!

In pass days one user create a inventory journal but i do a mistake and delete the journal using a Query in database (i want to do a select but...), now the transactions it's in inventtrans and inventtransorigin and i don't have in AX a option to delete it and i don't want to use a delete directly in database

Any suggestions for this?

Thanks

    Hi Eduardo,

There might be an another option. First make sure, you have a copy of the environment to test the next procedure:

    - Open the form InventTrans or using the AOT open the table browser for the table InventTrans

    - Find the records and delete them from the form.

Back in AX3.0 I had a similar issue due to wrong customizations. Then I was able to delete them using this method. However, there is now also a table called InventTransOrigin. Also check the table browser for this table.

Again: try it in a test environment first. Recreating the deleted journal lines and then delete it would be also a good and safe procedure.

The big detail here it's this incident appear had a few days ago, but i don't need the data in inventtrans because the goal it's delete the data because other journal has created to do the inventory and register the transaction, my mistake it's not validate the sentence and after put the where (thinking the sentence it's a select i run it and see the error after the query run).

So this data in this table now represent a problem because the journal it's not registered and i don't need it

One option is to restore a database backup on the side of the current database, and try to recover data from there with some SQL statements.

But in general, it's not a good idea to delete AX data with SQL queries unless you are really sure what you are doing, and test all SQL queries in a test environment first.

And, if you accidentally mess up, you should restore backup immediately because then you can still go back to the previous backup. After many days of waiting it's usually not possible anymore.

You've delete the journal lines too?

So, if you have deleted journal directly from database, why you're afraid to do it with InventTrans and InventTransOrigin? (lol)

Can you try to recreate deleted journal and set related values to it?
