Decimal part on Amount in sale invoice

Dear all,

In my sale invoice the format of Amount are this: 1 500 000,00. But I don't need to display the decimal part as we don"t use it in our currency.

We juste need to see 1 500 000

Someone can show me how to remove this decimal part?

Thank you for your help

    Hi FRANKMASS,

personally I don't like change standard settings like this.

The standard for NAV have Unit Price fields with 5 decimals and Amount fields with 2 decimals.

This works using the property in the table's fields "AutoFormatType" with the following values:

    1 - Amount

    2 - Unit Price

    You have two options:

    1. Change the property value in the table's field, set to blank the property AutoFormatType and insert in the DecimalPlaces property 0:2 so you will have effect in all the pages/forms that show this field.
    2. Change the property value of the field in the page or form, insert 0 in the property AutoFormatType and insert in the DecimalPlaces property 0:2 so you will have effect in a particolar page/form and you should repeat the same actions in all the pages/form you need.

    Hi Franckmass,

if I understand you right, then your local currency doesn't have decimals. The sensible setup would be to set the amount rounding precision to 1, and the amount decimals to 0:0. Unfortunately, this should be set before the first posting... a bit late (and a bit risky for reporting). If it's only one currency you're dealing in, and it's not your local currency, then you can set this in the currency table, at any time.

These settings should change the behaviour of the amounts globally, no other changes would be necessary.

If you want to change it in the G/L setup for LCY, I would suggest to contact your NAV partner to do so. Reducing the accuracy of the amounts doesn't void the consistency of the database, but it can lead to small deviations in the amounts reporting. This is something you should be aware of.

    with best regards

    Jens
