Sales orders composite v3 entity and product dimensions

Hi,

I'm trying to import sales order lines with data from external system, but I'm having trouble with financial dimensions for each product. Is it possible that they are missing from the sales order lines entity? So if I want to import financial dimension values for each sales line, what are my options? I was hoping to avoid modifications but it doesn't look good.

Thanks,

Migi

    Hi Mig111,

Try leveraging field below. I tried export and it gave me the dimension (only selected importable fields).

Hi, thanks for answering, but it didn't work. I added 2. and 3. dimension like this:

And import succeeded, but it didn't add any dimensions. Is there some other parameter which is needed?

Please check --> Financial Dimension configuration for integrating application

Path---> GL->COA-->Dimension-->FD Configuration for integrating application.

    +1 Gaurav

You must configure the data entities section of 'Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications'

    then use the field DefaultLedgerDimensionDisplayValue

I checked the Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications and there's a setup for default dimension format: cost center and project. So basically it would be really simple to update the sales line dimension values but still nothing appears. I'm using this in import file: <DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE>00-1000</DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE>.

Now I'm wondering if I should change the setup values in mapping for defaultledgerdimensiondisplayvalue-field. There are Auto-generated or Auto default -fields which could be checked.

I actually tested this in another environment with standard sales order composite v3 and it worked....all dimensions were in place after the import. So the problem must be in the current schema or then some other setting.

    Hello migi111,

Can you please check and confirm what is the combination is maintained in "Default dimension format" and "Ledger dimension format" in the Financial dimension configuration for integrating application form? Is it as per below or anything else?

Main Account - Cost center - Project

If this is the combination, then make sure that same combination is active in Configure account structure form too. And the combination will be working for example; 10001-CC01-PR01.

Now; as highlighted by Satish Panwar, let us know how you have maintained the dimension in DefaultLedgerDimensionDisplayValue column in upload datasheet? And you are linking those dimension values with which?

Means; if you are linking those dimensions values with "Item number", then have you tried by setting the combination in DefaultLedgerDimensionDisplayValue column in the datasheet as pet the following?

    888325.JPG

Just because; no main account is coming in scenario in the upload datasheet, therefore you may have to use this sign  '  from your keyboard to link the financial dimensions with the item number. This will ensure that, the combination (for example 069-011) is linked with the item 2001.

One more question -- Are you maintaining any default financial dimension for each item in the Released Products form? If yes; then make sure you are linking the same dimension values for each item while preparing the upload datasheet.

Kindly check this and share the outcome.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam
