Hi Everyone,
I wonder if anyone could be of assistance. I Just want to double check something.
Is it possible to replicate a formula on management reporter where it does this
:
I have created a drill down where i can get the payments for this specific account. I used the ATTR (Transaction description for this) . But the question is can i do actual formulas on the drill downs of these reports? Like the formula above for example?
Kind regards
Rui
Thank you for the feedback. Clarifies a lot for me.
As always appreciate it.
Good Morning Rui,
To my knowledge it is not possible to make a calculation on the amounts that are shown at the 'drill down level' only that you shared.
What might work is designing the report differently and designing the lines in a way that they include the summary elements/rows that you show in your first screenprint.
Right below create a new summary/total line that adds up the packing slip postings.
Below that you can create a new summary/total line that adds up the invoice postings
and so on.
That's the only workaround that I can see here.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Ludwig
Thanks for the feedback.
With regards to the calculated column. What im trying to calculate or rather put a formula on is the transaction amounts. Ill send screen shots to aid this explanation:
First i generate the report then drill down by clicking the account highlighted:
Then I drill down further to get to the actual account attributes that i defined in the column definitions, i do this by clicking on the highlighted account :
Then i am opened into this form, and then with regards to these amounts would i be able to do a calculation on them? Im just slightly confused where to start if this can be done.
Hello Rui,
About your first question:
Creating a formula that adds amounts from different columns and rows is possible but it is not easy and might take you a while to get it done. When I have to do something alike, I regularly make use of non-printed columns / rows that are used for subtotals/subcalculations.
Regarding the second questions:
For formulas that you create there is no drill down in D365FO / AX2012 available because these are calculations that you define.
For all other transactions that are recorded on different ledger accounts - findim combinations drill downs are available.
Best regards,
Ludwig
