I am trying to know if i can create a journal type aside from General Journal with a different Number sequence in D365 FnO.

There is a difference between a journal type and journal names. You can already create several journal names with a different number sequence. If you need a new journal type with different menu items and posting logic, it would be possible as the JournalType enumeration is extensible.
