Hi Experts,

Is it possible to generate / see Grant chart for WBS lines (Hour /Expenses both)  from D365 Project Management and Accounting. I was going through this blog "https://msdynamicsworld.com/story/gantt-chart-colors-microsoft-dynamics-365-finance-and-operations-no-longer-mystery" and find very helpful for production.

Our client is into service industry, it would be a great help if we can generate similar kind of Grant Chart from WBS / Forecast lines.

Best regards,

Arnab

    Hi Arnab,

The control used in the production module can be used in other areas as well. A developer should be able to figure out how it is implemented and how to build something as a customization in the Project management and accounting area.

Note that Microsoft is working on Dynamics 365 Project operations. Probably, this could be exactly what your customer is looking for. It is currently in preview: dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

    Hi,

Thanks a bunch for your prompt response. I will reach to a developer for sure for further progress on this.

One request, it is always better if I can do a little technical study on any subject before escalate to different level or involve someone. In this matter I was going through couple of Microsoft documents, unfortunately I could not able to get more insight for this subject. Requesting you and all Experts in this forum if someone can provide me any blog, MS Document(s) etc. on "Grant Chart for WBS in D365 PMA".

Further, our team/company has initiated processes to be an "Early Adopter" program for Project Operations. We are on top of this too.

    Best regards,

    Arnab

    Hi Arnab,

I don't think there are many developers having knowledge how to implement the Gantt chart control as it is quite specific to some businesses only.

    There is functional documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../visual-scheduling-production

And I could find one blog with some screenshots related to development: community.dynamics.com/.../develop-gantt-chart-in-ax7-d365

This blog could help getting started with own developments.
