There should be exactly one ribbon customisation in the active solution.

Posted on by 247

Hello,

Ref: Dynamics CRM 2011 on-prem

I'm facing issues while working with Ribbon related changes as I am getting an error as below. On further check its found that we are unable to add the Application Ribbon (Client Extension) to the solution file as its giving the error as with Error message : "There should be exactly one ribbon customisation in the active solution.".

The "Application Ribbon" appears under the default solution but I am not able to add to my custom solution. The download log file provides the error info in details as below:

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: There should be exactly one ribbon customization in the active solution.Detail:

    Hello AR.

As you know, Dynamics CRM 2011 is quite an old version. We do not have much information regarding that.

With the error message itself, I couldn't find any relevant information to help.

There seems to be something corrupted. Was this ribbon brought by an unmanaged solution, from another environment?

At this point, the best would be to take the Diagnostic traces when reproducing the issue to see if you can find any additional information.

In addition to that, you can also log a case with us, Microsoft support, and we might be able to help.

    Thanks.
