Hi
I am looking at implementing XDS to restrict users to viewing SO/Production orders etc as only certain users should be able to view/edit orders for certain sites/warehouses.
Is it possible to restrict this per individual user or can it only be done for a user role? I don't want to have to create individual roles for individual users.
Thanks
Hi Asher
As you know inventory dimensions are on the order lines. An order may have more than one warehouse or site. In order to restrict a user to view certain orders you have to consider this. At one of my project we used xds with financial dimensions, thus I think it is possible to use with inventory dimensions.
It will be better to ask a developer the right query. You can also use row level security structure instead of xds, it is not dynamic but can be another option for some scenarios.
Best regards
Hi Asher,
Have a look at my example which I created for warehouse security using XDS. You can manage per user if and which warehouses (and related sites) will be accessible. The example is free for download. In the example, the production orders are not constrained, but you can easily add that table yourself.
